Making it Personal: A Listening Circle to Help Heal the Historical Imbalance Between Women and Men
Each of us has had our lives shaped by the systems created by the global imbalance between women and men that has existed for thousands of years.
It’s time to bring those who identify as men and women together to tell our stories in a safe, brave space of honest sharing and deep listening. Because this issue has affected all of us, the healing that can come from the sharing of our stories on this issue can be profound. Although we will be explicitly focused around issues for men and women, all are welcome.
Please consider joining us for this Listening Circle to begin to heal the divide that creates so much misunderstanding and suffering in our personal development, our relationships, our institutions, and our culture. Let’s move together towards the biggest picture our hearts can hold for a beautiful future, one truly heard story at a time.

Cultivating Courage: An Introductory Series to Strengthen Capacity
Do you want to help make the world a better place but get overwhelmed by how much there is to do? Do you want to do more in the world but you’re not sure where to start? Are you looking for ways to deepen the work you’re doing now?
Based on the powerful work of author and teacher, Joanna Macy, PhD., this four-part series offers courage and capacity-building activities intended to develop and focus our abilities to create positive change in the world.
Our first session introduces a new framework for understanding and facing challenges both bravely and gently; this framework will guide our other three sessions (named respectively: Three Perspectives, Honoring Our Pain, Seeing with New Eyes). We hope you’ll join us for this series of highly interactive and meaningful workshops.

Currently, Padme’s work as a Core Team member of Rochester Pachamama Alliance contributes one small part of a world-wide movement to create and sustain a socially just, sustainable, and fulfilling human presence on this earth. As the author of Let’s Not Call It Meditation: Practical Guidance for People Who Think They Can’t Sit Still and Quiet the Mind, an awareness meditation teacher, and a spiritually-grounded life coach, Padme has been actively engaged in our community for over two decades. Her website www.aquieterplace.com offers meditation guidance in our community, as well as privately and in small groups at her home. She continues a lifelong practice as an active student of nonviolent and restorative practices to help face and heal conflicts in our families, community, and in the wider world.

8 Week Group Meditation Series
An Eight(8)-Week morning (10-11:30am) Meditation Series, including 1/2 hour sitting, a talk, and discussion time. If you have some experience meditating, you may join us anytime during an existing 8 weeks.

Retreats and Workshops:
Padme is happy to lead all day or half day retreats or workshops at A Quieter Place, or a different place of your choosing. This service is available for a group looking for an intimate setting and skilled facilitation for generating gentle, compassionate, self-discovery and practical relationship skills into your group’s connections.
Retreat days or workshops may include any of the following, or any combination of the following:

- Guided meditations on a wide range of topics (i.e. compassion, forgiveness, self-care )
